How does Walstroom work?

Become a customer, moor your boat and plug your power cable into an available shore side power supply point.

Activate the power supply via the App, by phone, text message or the website*.

Deactivate the power supply via your preferred method and unplug your power cable.

 

* For box 161, 162 en 163 in Rotterdam is an extra authorisation needed. Press after the first authorize (green light flashes) the blue (Re)start button to activate your electricity. Press here for all steps.

You can easily activate and deactivate the power supply with our Park-line Walstroom App, by phone, text message or via the website.

Activating and deactivating the power supply via the App or the Website

Step 1: Become a customer and moor your boat.

Before you can activate Park-line Walstroom shore side power, you must first become a Park-line Walstroom customer. You can register via the App or on our website. Connect your power cable to a socket in the Walstroom shore side power cabinet and remember the four digit connection code. This code can be found behind the door of each cabinet.

Step 2: Activate the power supply.

  • Once you have logged in, the Park-line Walstroom App will use your GPS to find your location. Select the appropriate location on the zone map or enter the cabinet code from the Walstroom cabinet manually.
  • Once you have selected the appropriate Walstroom location on the zone map, the App will display different power supply cabinets. Select the appropriate cabinet. You will not see this screen if you have entered the Walstroomkast cabinet code manually.
  • A screen will then appear where the rates are displayed for this Walstroomkast power supply along with the different types of connection sockets. Select the appropriate power connection for your ship.
  • Once you have selected the correct connection, click on ‘Start’ in the next screen to activate the power supply.  
  • The power supply has been activated. Now you can close the Park-line Walstroom App.

You will receive a free e-mail message after activating the power supply. If desired, you can turn off this e-mail reminder on your personal Park-line Walstroom page.

Step 3: Deactivate the power supply. 

  • Open the Park-line Walstroom App. Your currently activated power supply will be displayed.
  • Choose ‘Stop’ to deactivate the power supply. This action will automatically move the activity to your history.  
  • You can then choose a new action or close the App.  

NOTE: You can only disconnect the power cable once you have deactivated the power supply via the App. If you do disconnect before deactivating the supply, the supply will be deactivated automatically a few minutes thereafter. 

Visibility into usage and costs

The Park-line Walstroom App or the personal page displays your actual usage, costs and the status of your power supply at all times. You will receive a free e-mail each day with your usage costs thus far. You may choose from two methods of payment: a monthly direct debit or payment by credit card.  An additional charge of 3% of your montlhy invoice will be added to each credit card transaction. No matter which payment method you choose, we will always send you a detailed invoice.

Step 2: Activate the power supply.

Send a text message with the WS[space]zone code to 4111 (for example: WS 1751).

You will receive a free e-mail message once you have activated the power supply. If desired, you can turn off this e-mail reminder on your personal Park-line Walstroom page.

Step 3: Deactivate the power supply.

Send a text with: WS[space]STOP to 4111 (for example: WS STOP).

NOTE: You can only disconnect the power cable once you have called or texted us to stop the supply. However, if you disconnect the cable beforehand, the power will be deactivated automatically within a few minutes.
